Sport and CBD
Cannabis is used more and more by athletes in the US for its effects on pain reduction and focus.
These effects are mainly linked to the effect of THC on the body and mind. THC is the psychoactive molecule in cannabis and the regulated molecule still prohibited in some US states and other countries. This molecule is also regulated by the WADA organization (Word Anti-Doping Agency), this agency is in charge of the regulation of doping substances in sports events. Therefore, THC is prohibited to use regular cannabis in most of the national or international competitions.
The second most well-known molecule present in cannabis is CBD or Cannabidiol, and this molecule is not psychoactive. This means CBD won't give you a "high" effect. The WADA has classified the CBD as an authorized substance.
The main problem is : the CBD is the only cannabinoid allowed in sport events by the WADA and there are hundreds of other cannabinoids naturally present in cannabis.
In our cryogenic Gel we isolated the CBD molecule to extract it from cannabis and created a cryogenic gel using its benefic properties for athletes. Lots of studies are currently in progress to prove some of the CBD effects on the human body, but the CosIng and the INCI institute already revealed their beliefs on the substance classifying it as Antioxidant, anti-sebum, protective agent for the skin and maintenance agent for the skin. Other studies are trying to prove the anti-inflamatory effect of CBD (Brain Institute, Paris, 2019) and the relaxing effect it could have (SciencePost/ Dr. Degregorio, Mc Gill University, Canada, 2019).
